Why cleaning matters
A clogged filter restricts airflow, so the system runs longer to reach the same temperature. A dirty coil does the same thing at the other end of the process. A blocked condensate drain is the usual reason an indoor unit starts dripping water down the wall.
Mould grows in air conditioners because the indoor coil is cold and damp. Once it is established, the smell when the system starts up is the giveaway, and cleaning the filter alone will not fix it.
What we clean
Filters, coils, condensate drains and the unit itself, plus mould removal where it has taken hold. It is part of our servicing work, so it is often done alongside a full service rather than as a separate visit.

Why does my air conditioner smell when it starts up?
Usually mould on the indoor coil or in the drain. The coil is cold and damp when the system runs, which is exactly the condition mould needs. Cleaning the filter on its own will not clear it.
Why is water dripping from my indoor unit?
Most often a blocked condensate drain. Condensate that cannot drain away backs up and overflows out of the unit. Drain cleaning is part of what we do.
Can I just clean the filters myself?
Filters you can usually rinse yourself, and doing so between services helps. Coils, drains and mould removal need the unit opened up properly.
